Workshops

Along with our coaching services, h3 provides a variety of group coaching workshops on numerous topics that are relevant to improving individual performance and organizational culture. We distinguish group coaching from training in that we not only provide content but also coach participants for a deeper level of understanding and relevant application to themselves. In addition, many workshops provide participants with the opportunity to enhance their own coaching skills through group exercises and activities.

h3 will help you determine which solution is best for your organization’s unique situation and customize a learning experience to meet your needs.

Everything DiSC

Everything DiSC is a suite of personal development tools designed to help leaders, managers and employees at all levels. In our work with teams and individuals, h3 utilizes the DiSC model for both its power and simplicity. DiSC provides a common language for individual self-awareness as well as understanding the needs and priorities of colleagues. As a result, employees build more effective work relationships which increases employee engagement, improves retention and ultimately leads to better business outcomes.

When delivered in a workshop setting, Everything DiSC profiles are conversation catalysts. The experience enables dialogue about sensitive topics in a non-judgmental way. Participants learn how to engage in honest, supportive conversations and can immediately implement the concepts they learn into their work culture.

Workshop opportunities for groups and teams include:

  • Everything DiSC Workplace
  • Everything DiSC Productive Conflict
  • Everything DiSC Sales
  • Everything DiSC Management
  • Everything DiSC Leadership

The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team

When employees learn to work together on productive, cohesive teams, organizations see business results. Top teams give organizations a competitive advantage with their focus on top priorities, constructive behaviors and making better decisions faster.

Based on the work of Patrick Lencioni’s New York Times best-seller, this workshop teaches participants how to become better team members by embracing the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team at an individual level. Participants receive a personal development profile designed to help them improve in the areas of trust, conflict, commitment, accountability and results. Skills are transferable from team to team, seeding positive teamwork skills throughout an organization.

EQ and the Emotionally Intelligent Leader

Science clearly indicates that EQ is a significantly more powerful predictor of leadership performance than IQ, knowledge or expertise. Yet, most leadership development programs focus on more technical aspects leaving a huge deficit in a leader’s skillset.

h3 provides a full day interactive workshop for leaders designed to increase participants’ understanding of emotional intelligence and its role in effective leadership. Through a variety of individual, small and large group activities, participants will understand the role of emotional intelligence in effective leadership and explore how aspects of emotional intelligence can lead to derailing behaviors. Participants will learn about their own EQ score and apply what they have learned in the workshop by creating a personal development plan.

Team Design for Optimal Results: 6 Conditions for Team Effectiveness

Great teams don’t just happen. They must be deliberately designed, nurtured and grown if they are to succeed. Scientific research estimates that meeting six specific conditions in a team’s design accounts for up to 80% of a team’s effectiveness. When one or more of these conditions are not present, teams can struggle.

As a leader, one of your most important roles is to build and develop an effective team that can deliver results. By intentionally designing (or redesigning) a team with the six conditions in mind, you will provide a solid foundation for a team to thrive and get the results you want. Participants will learn about the framework and the questions they need to ask of themselves to ensure the necessary conditions are in place for their team to succeed.

The Art of Persuasion and Influence: A 7-step Process for Critical Conversations

One of the most widely requested areas for professional development is how individuals can communicate more effectively to get the results they want. Call it negotiation, persuasion, influence or just good old-fashioned interpersonal communication, it is a skill we all must hone to be successful.

Participants will learn a seven-step process which will arm them with skills for influencing others in a variety of scenarios. Not only will they achieve better outcomes from critical conversations, but they will also learn to build stronger relationships in the process.

Defining Your Leadership Voice

Leaders at all levels must command an authentic voice that clearly articulates a vision for the future, builds alignment to get there and ensures conditions are present for the group to achieve their desired results. Connecting with direct reports, colleagues, the executive office and constituents is a non-negotiable skill in a leader’s toolbox. Participants will learn the steps necessary to show up and be heard as a leader and valuable member of any team.

From Technical Expert to Middle Manager: How to Make the Shift

While making the transition from an individual contributor to a manager is exciting, it can also be stressful. No longer are you rewarded for your technical expertise. Now, you are measured on how well you develop and lead your direct reports as well as how effectively and collectively your team achieves results. Participants will learn how to better engage and mobilize their team along with the basics of giving and receiving guidance for improved performance.
